What it does

• Finds subtitles in Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian or any other language on Titlovi.com, OpenSubtitles, SubDL and SubSource.
• Lines them up with your video, using the subtitles built into it as a guide, so each line appears exactly when it is spoken.
• Setup takes 5 to 15 minutes, depending on which accounts you already have.

Is it for you?

If the videos you watch in Stremio already come with subtitles in your language built in, you won’t need this addon. It is most useful for languages that are rarely included in video files, such as Serbian and its neighbours.

What you’ll see in Stremio

Your subtitles show up in Stremio’s subtitle menu. Before it appears, we find one subtitle in your first language that lines up with your video and put it on top:

A file that covers only part of the film, or only the foreign-language lines, says so on its row and is listed last; it is never the one on top.

On Android and Android TV each row just reads “Subtitle Sync”, in the same order: the top one in each language is the best.

Tip: set Stremio’s default subtitle language to your first language and our top, synced subtitle turns on by itself. The last setup step shows how.

What you’ll need

• Stremio, on a computer, TV or phone.
• A phone or computer with a web browser, for this setup. Your TV picks it up by itself.
• An OpenSubtitles account and its API key, both free. Every install needs them.
• Optional, for more subtitles: Titlovi.com (paid: a yearly supporter donation), SubDL and SubSource (free, each with its own key). Step 2 recommends them for the languages they are especially good for.
• Optional, for perfect timing: TorBox, through the addon you stream with (such as AIOStreams). With another debrid service, or none, subtitles are lined up using OpenSubtitles.
